Frequently Asked Questions

How cold is it going to be ?

Temperature will range between 0°C to 12°C with wind and precipitation low. The average day is dry and calm with strong sun. meaning it can feel much warmer. The weather can be unpredictable with occasional rain showers, strong squalls and sometimes even snow.

Will I see any northern Lights ?

It is possible that it gets dark enough to start seeing Northern lights from Late August.

Do I need to be a photographer?

Absolutely not! It is not a pure photography workshop. We will talk about photography related topics and share skills but in first place it is all about the experience to sail in the Arctic. And also: this place is so beautiful so you can't really take a bad photo.

What wildlife will we encounter?

There is quite a variety of wildlife in Eastern Greenland but much of the wildlife is very elusive given the vastness of the landscape. We may see Polar bears, muskox or seals though sightings are not guaranteed. Other animals that roam the area are snow hares, arctic foxes wolves and narwhals. The more people looking out for animals the higher our chances are of spotting something interesting. So guests are very much encouraged to keep a good lookout.
