Namibia Photography Tour 2025

Namibia – A country that stole my heart from the Get Go.

The landscape of Namibia is like no other, vast open spaces, Diversity and dramatic scenery make you feel like you are on another planet. This timeless terrain is home to colossal sand dunes and teems with an array of wildlife. The only desert in the world where you can find large mammals like elephants, rhinos, lions, and giraffes.

Namibia is four times the size of the United Kingdom and has one of the lowest population densities in the world. Large untouched landscapes with little to no people around. One of my absolute favorites’ about this very ecologically minded country is to witness the spectacular combination of colors as they unfold in the Namibian desert. Never in my life have I witnessed such a distinct contrast between light and shadow as clear as in the Namibian Desert.

On this 14-day trip, we will glide silently over the Namib in a hot air balloon, climb some of the tallest sand dunes on the planet, search for wild desert horses, One of the most captivating adventures on the planet, capture a Quiver tree forest at night and the witness the mysterious peaks of the Spitzkoppe. We will venture to Etosha National Park, photograph picturesque ghost towns, and go on guided game drives in a private Game Reserve.

We will travel in our own private Landcruiser, guided by a naturalist guide and Tobias Hägg. Our accommodations will be a mix of guesthouses, lodges, and hotels.

Namibia will enchant your heart, beckoning you with its timeless landscapes and the profound silence that stretches across its horizons. I’m looking forward to welcoming you to this extraordinary country and adventure in Namibia!

More Information will be sent upon booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of photography is required?

All levels of photography are welcome on our tours, beginners as well as professionals. The only criteria are that you have to have a passion for photography and have the energy and motivation to be on the go every day and night.

What should I bring?

Since we are exploring the dessert in summer we recommend clothing items with cotton over synthetic fibers, and muted colors for game viewing (rather than white or bright colors). Temperatures at the coast can be cold any time of the year so do bring at least one fleece even if visiting during summer.

what will be our mode of transport?

Transportation will be in a luxury air-conditioned safari vehicle driven by a registered and experienced English-speaking safari guide. Vehicles used are specially modified 4x4 safari vehicles, equipped with fridges for drinks and snacks, roof pop tops for better photography, and game viewing vantage points. Each guest will have a guaranteed window seat on every safari. 220-volt electrical charging point, to charge electrical devices whilst traveling.

What kind of weather can I expect?

Namibia is truly a country of “blue skies and sunshine”. Summer occurs from October to April. Average summer temperatures range from 20 degrees Celsius on the coast to 35 degrees Celsius in the central region. The main rainy season occurs between December to April. The rains are generally of short duration and bring much relief to the heat.

What camera gear should I bring?

Bring the camera you have, lenses, a tripod, and a laptop. For photography of birds and animals, a good SLR camera and telephoto lens is necessary. A zoom lens is extremely useful on safari, the minimum recommended size is 70 – 200 mm, with 100 – 400 mm being ideal. Modern image-stabilized lenses are best as they allow photographers to hand-hold their cameras at slower shutter speeds with sharp results. The last few hours before sunset and the first few after sunrise are the best times for photography, and polarizing filters can help reduce haze and glare during the day.
